17th Century Italian Madonna with Child, Handcarved Solid Wood Sculpture with Gilt Decoration

Ivory Madonna di San Sisto, After Raphael Santi's Sistine (Sixtine) Madonna. This was Raphael's final Madonna Painting in 1519 and was painted for the monastery San Sisto in Piacenze. Mother and Child are surrounded by the older Saint Sixtus and Saint Barbara in youth. Original Painting now in The Dresden Gallery.
